Tuition
The per pupil cost of educating a student at St. Thomas for '00/'01 is projected to be $3,228.00. As usual, our parishes will again contribute $163,234.00. The PTO will raise $38,000.00. The town has been asked for $27,000.00. Endowment and interest from savings will be $24,000.00. The Diocese of Portland will contribute $19,000 to faculty retirement. The Development Council will again provide $5,000.00. So, almost 1/2 of the total budget of $626,581.00 is provided for apart from tuition.

The result is that we will experience a 3% increase over the '99/'00 tuition.

The fees will be:

  • participating members of Catholic

  • parishes (grades 1-6)        $1,128.00
  • non-parish families           1,911.00
  • parish Kindergarten             882.00
  • non-parish Kindergarten       1,097.00
For parishioners, this represents an increase of $6.45 per week with a daily cost of $5.97 What a bargain!
A non refundable fee of $100.00 is due at registration time and credited to the balance for the year.

Each year there are some limited funds available for those families who are in need. These "scholarships" are awarded anonymously (the committee only sees a # on the application) If you doubt your ability to pay all of your tuition, ask for a scholarship application at the time of registration.
